THE XULA/DFW ALUMNI ARE PLEASED TO HAVE ADMIRAL STEPHEN W. ROCHON AS OUR 2019 KEYNOTE SPEAKER. HIS DECORATED MILITARY CAREER, CULTURAL CONTRIBUTIONS AND PRESIDENTIAL SERVICE ARE EXEMPLARY OF XULA/ DFW.
In 1984, Rochon graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. He returned to active duty and organized the USCG’s first Combat Skills Course with the Marine Corps in Quantico, Virginia. Later, he deployed to overseas to Jordan with the Port Security Units to train the Royal Jordanian Coast Guard. In 1987, he was assigned to Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC, where he held various key positions. In 1996, he was assigned to Marine Safety Office Baltimore, Maryland, and later became the Deputy Commander at Activities Baltimore.
In 2007, after retiring with over 36 years of military service, he was selected as the Director of the Executive Residence and Chief Usher at The White House for two U.S. Presidents (George W. Bush and Barack Obama).
